![]() In the U.S., airlines have a wide array of rules and costs when it comes to young flyers traveling alone. Whether they’ve been flying with you since babyhood or just getting their travel legs now, it’s very important for you and your child to be prepared for travel as an unaccompanied minor. Otherwise I will never ever use Spirit airlines and I will do my best to prevent everyone I know to fly with Spirit.Sending your child on a flight by themselves can be an exciting (and nerve-wracking) experience. I will never ever use Spirit in my life until I will receive a proper apologies with my money refund. So either your employee on the Spirit check in station does not know how to check luggage size or your employee on the gate has charged 99$ for nothing. Of course she charged 99$ and then let me into the board. She immediately told me to insert the luggage to that thing again horizontally and see if it fits. When I was about onboarding at the gate 41B another Spirit employee told me that I was going to need to pay for that carry on due to its size. I inserted the luggage into that thing vertically and it fit perfectly. The lady told me that I should check my carry on luggage by inserting the special tool to check if it was fitting in there in order to avoid any payment. I had a standard carry on luggage (18 lbs) that was noticed by Spirit employee when I was checking in for my luggage Stipit's location in Newark EWR airport. Your employee tricked us to charge 99$ for carry on bag.
